(pulls the MAGIC LAMP out from her sleeve.)
Do not be fooled by its appearance. It is not what is outside, but what is inside that counts. This is no ordinary lamp! It once changed a young man's life.

Enter dancers with scarves, after 1 min Aladdin and Abu enter along with a market seller Jasmine
Dancers exit music fades
(Seamus) Aladdin:
I'm starving
(Theo) Abu:
Me too, I haven't eaten in weeks.
(Jasmine) market seller:
Fruit, Vegetables, fresh bread!
Enter AVA who buys some bread and begins to eat it down stage right
Aladdin:
Please can I have a bit of bread?
Ava:

(storms off disgusted)
Aladdin:

Abu:
This is no good, you will have to steal that apple.
Aladdin:
Not again, if the police catch me, they might chop my hands off.

A little starving child enters

Dancers enter with scarves, dance around and Everyone exits the stage. Enter Genie
Genie:
Aladdin didn’t have much, but he did have a kind heart. You could say he was a Diamond in the rough. Meanwhile back at the palace Princess Jasmine was arguing with the sultan.

SCENE 2
Enter Jasmine and sultan
Jasmine:
I don't want to get married.
(CJ) Sultan:
You need to get married, if you want to be the queen.
Jasmine:
I said no dad. Please don't make me
Sultan:
Just look at these lovely princes, who want to meet you.
Jasmine:

Sultan:

Sultan goes over to jasmine still under the spell
Sultan:
You will marry my most trusted adviser, Jaffar.
Jasmine:
I will not. This isn’t fair!
Jasmine runs off stage, sultan runs after her

Jaffar:
(laughing) my evil plan is working, soon I will be the ruler of Agrabah, and people will bow to me!
(walks over to his magic mirror)
Jaffar:
Wake up! I have news!
(Benjamin) MM:
This better be good, I was just in the middle of a great dream
Jaffar:
I've done it, I've finally done it!
MM:

Jaffar:
I will marry Jasmine and become sultan. I will be so powerful, I will be the ruler of this land, maybe even the world!
MM:
Sorry to burst your bubble jaffa cake, but that's not going to happen
Jaffar:

MM:
Sorry! What I mean is, if you are sultan, you will only be in charge of Agrabah. To be the ruler of the world, you will need the help from a powerful Genie.

He is in the cave of wonders.

Jaffar and mirror exit.

Jasmine and her best friend Raja enter
Jasmine:

(Ellie) Raja:

Jasmine:
Why wont my dad listen to me?
Raja:

Jasmine:
He wants me to get married, can you believe that?
Raja:

Enter Jasmine, market sellers, aladdin, police.
(Grace) Market seller 1:
spices, come and buy your spices.
(Harry) Market seller 2:
Sweet Treats, who wants sweets?
(Jayden) Market seller 3:
Bread, fresh bread, come and get your rolls
(James) Police officer:
Good afternoon, How is everyone today?
EVERYONE:

Jasmine:
wow, so this is the market? OOO spices, sweets, mmmm fresh bread.
Aladdin:

Everyone sings and fade down when the ladies sing high pitched, still play in the background.

(picks up an apple)
(Harry) Market seller:
Hey! I hope you can pay for that!
Jasmine:

Market seller:
stop thief (grabs jasmine by the arm) POLICE!!
Police (James):
What’s going on here young lady?
Market seller:
She has no money, she was going to steal this.
Aladdin:
She’s my friend, She doesn’t Know any better. Here, take it back, I'm sorry. It will never happen again.
Jasmine:

Aladdin:

Aladdin:

Jaffar:

Aladdin:

Jaffar:
My name is Jaffar, I might be able to help you out.
Aladdin:

Jaffar:
I need to get a lamp from a cave, a very special cave. Jewels and treasures are everywhere! I would go myself, but I have a bad back. If you get me the lamp you can get some treasure for yourself as a reward.
Aladdin:

Cast exit stage.
SCENE 6
Cue music Savage Love. Dancers enter
Dancer 1:
Aladdin entered the cave of wonders
Dancer 2:
To get the lamp for Jaffar
Dancer 3:
But if he touched anything else the walls would turn to lava!
Dancer 2:
Jaffar was sneaky.
Enter Aladdin and Abu
Aladdin:
Wow! Look at this place!
Dancers:
Don’t touch!
Abu:
We will be rich!
Dancers:
Don’t touch!
Aladdin:
Let's get this lamp first.
Abu:
There it is!
Aladdin grabs the lamp.
Aladdin:
Hey Jaffar, I’ve found your lamp.
Jaffar:
Throw it out and I will help you out of the cave.
Aladdin:
Help us out first and then I will give it to you.
Jaffar:
First the lamp
Aladdin:

Jaffar:
A night trapped in the cave might change your mind.
Jaffar traps them in the cave. Aladdin begins to sneeze with the dust.
Aladdin:
ACHOO! (sneezes onto the lamp) aww man (rubs the lamp)
Cue music. Chimes door bell. Genie appears. Everyone gasps in shock. Cue music Universal Fanfare. Genie waves like the queen. Everyone cheers and screams, like they've seen someone famous.
Genie:
Ten thousand years really gives you a crick in the neck. Hello everyone I am the most powerful and incredible Genie. I have the ability to grant you three wishes. But there are rules. Rule number one, I can’t bring people back from the dead. Rule number two, I can't make people fall in love. Rule number three, no wishing for more wishes!
ALL:
I wish for…
Genie:
Sorry only three wishes!
Aladdin:
Do you think you could get us out of here?
Genie:
Yes of course! You’ve never had a friend like me!
Cue music. You’ve never had a friend like me.
All cast on stage. ‘Rising stars’ follow Akeelah’s lead. ‘Just Act’ get on the magic carpet and follow James's Lead.
SCENE 7
Genie:
Now that you're out of the cave you have two wishes left.
Aladdin:
Well Jaffar was sneaky and trapped us all in the cave. He wanted his three wishes for bad deeds. I think we should teach him a lesson. I wish Jaffar was in a far far away land!
Genie:
Done! Last wish?
Aladdin:
I met a girl in the market called Jasmine.
Genie:
I can’t make anyone fall in love.
Aladdin:
I know. She just had sad eyes, like something was upsetting her. My final wish is that she finds happiness.
Genie:
Aladdin, you really do have a pure heart. Your wish is my command.
Cue music. ‘Can your friends do this’. All cast on stage for a dance and a final bow.
